Today we had Kirsten Pierce, A lovely guest speaker come into the classroom and talk about ways to use technology. How we can use technology with the environment and for the environment. There are obviously the classic resources like google maps or geocashing but there are some I haven’t used or thought about before like iNaturalist where you can share your findings with others I think it can be a little bit trickier to incorporate tech in outdoor ed for younger grades because of budgets and logistics so for like K-3 it is likely that you would be the one leading the activity. We also learned about a technology called chatterpix where you can add voice overs to pictures. Then we did a scavenger hunt where we had to finf six QR codes and look at the resources or prompts for each one. I would love to do a nature scavenger hunt for my practicum but I have to think a bit more about how I could include tech for the primary grades. Enjoy this picture of a duck from the garden below. I think his name should be Harold
