This week I chose to expand on my craft from the other week the fox character I made from a toilet paper roll click here if you want to learn more about that. I was thinking about my little fox character and how I could expand it further even maybe to like a longer lesson. What I thought to do was imagine different settings my character could be in, I think students could do this to create their own book or students could even work together to create different settings and use them as backdrops and they can play with their characters in all the different settings in class. I think it can also help them understand story structure and would be a good way to make a literacy unit fun for a kindergarten class, you could also use the characters to create modelling stories like modelling kindness or resolution. I chose to create a setting of a birthday party and a beach let me know which is your favourite.
